Project Overview:

CiviTech played a key role in the development of the Sfax Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) Desalination Plant, one of Tunisia’s most significant infrastructure projects aimed at addressing water scarcity in the region. Our involvement began with a comprehensive site investigation program to assess geotechnical conditions, enabling the preparation of a detailed and reliable geotechnical report. This formed the foundation for critical design decisions throughout the project.

Our team carried out in-depth analyses for the foundation system, including settlement and stability assessments, ensuring structural integrity and long-term performance of the facility. We also designed deep foundation solutions tailored to the site’s challenging subsurface conditions.

In addition, we engineered the shoring system for the seawater intake structures, a vital component of the plant’s operation, and provided continuous technical support throughout the construction phase. This ensured that our design intent was fully realized on-site, with prompt resolution of technical challenges and adherence to high-quality standards.

Through our multidisciplinary expertise, CiviTech contributed to the successful and timely execution of a project that will have lasting impact on the region’s water infrastructure.
